Title : Figure of the Ashoka Stambh

"This is a wooden model of Ashoka Stambha also known as the Ashoka Pillar. The miniature sculpture is the exact replica of the real one resent in Sarrnath, in Uttar Pradesh. The pillar features Asiatic lions standing back to back on a single block mounted on a circular base.The circular base features four animals-- Bull, Horse, Elephant and lion with Ashoka Chakra separating each animal. The colour of the sculpture is brown with glazing on it. The base is a three-layered circular pedestal. On each step there is an inscription which is written in Hindi. Starting from the lowest pedestal it has been inscribed with 'स्वर्ण जयंती संगीत संध्या' ; the next step has the date inscribed which is 9 August 1998 ; the starting pedestal is inscribed with 'मानव विचार केंद्र'."
