CRAFTOPIA : Explore 'Who We Are, Where We Belong

CRAFTOPIA : Explore 'Who We Are, Where We Belong

This summer, National Crafts Museum & Hastakala Academy presents Craftopia Season 10, an immersive 10-day creative learning experience for children centered around the theme “Who We Are, Where We Belong.”

Rooted in ideas of sustainability, ecology, and cultural memory, Craftopia invites young participants to explore their connection with materials, environments, traditions, and communities through hands-on making and collaborative learning.

Designed as an engaging interdisciplinary camp, the programme brings together artists, educators, and traditional practitioners to guide children through workshops in clay, jute, natural dyes, found objects, storytelling, movement, and mindful creation. Through these tactile and reflective experiences, participants will discover how craft practices can nurture care, observation, reuse, and imagination.

This season encourages children to think deeply about belonging—not only to places and people, but also to the ecosystems and environments we are interconnected with.
